CARRA Samples for funded LRA Global Team Science Award
Project Period:
2022-2024
Grant Category:
Advancing Biosample Collection Grant
Disease Area:
Lupus and Related Conditions (SLE/RC)
This grant, for which funding will begin in September 2021, pursues the hypothesis that cSLE includes distinct biological subgroups that can be identified through multi-modal clinical, immune, and genetic profiling. Collecting these samples on CARRA Registry SLE patients is important because the combination of GTSA-funded WGS with CARRA Registry phenotype data will help us better understand the diversity within cSLE. This work represents an important step in the broader vision of mechanism-directed treatment of cSLE.
