Global Rheumatology Alliance Patient Experience Survey

As the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) crisis worsens around the world, we are all looking for ways to help. Every one of us wants to join the effort that “unlocks” the COVID-19 code.  By coming together as a community, we can do just that!

The COVID-19 pandemic has quickly infected more than a million people. While most people with COVID-19 infections have mild or no symptoms, a significant proportion of patients can become quite ill. At this time, little is known about how patients with rheumatic diseases, many of whom use medications and drugs that suppress the immune system, are affected by the virus.

What can you do to help?

The COVID-19 Global Rheumatology Alliance is calling on parents of children with rheumatic diseases and adults with rheumatic diseases to participate in a survey so that we may learn how best to prevent or treat COVID-19 in this potentially vulnerable population. Patients with rheumatic diseases with or without COVID-19 infection are eligible to participate.

The survey is being conducted in partnership with CARRA and is led by doctors and researchers from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. All information collected in the survey is completely anonymous and protected.
