Career Development Award

The CARRA-Arthritis Foundation Career Development Award is intended to support an early career investigator who demonstrates promise in developing an independent research career. Letter of Intent required – due January 15, 2022.

Project period length: 3 years

Max funding amount: $375,000 total ($125,000 per year)

Grant availability: 1 award

 

Implementation Science Testing Grant

The Implementation Science Testing Grant seeks to fund projects that incorporate active implementation strategies leading to uptake and integration of pediatric rheumatology research evidence into real-world practice settings across at least 3 sites, with the aim of increasing accessibility, usefulness, uptake, and/or impact of the research evidence among targeted end-users. Letter of Intent required – due January 15, 2022.

Project period length: 2 years

Max funding amount: $150,000 total ($75,000 per year)

Advancing Biosample Collection in the CARRA Network

This funding opportunity supports biosample collection within the CARRA network to advance CARRA translational research. The goal is to collect biosamples from patients enrolled in the CARRA Registry, to be used by CARRA investigators for future hypothesis-based research. TRTC Letter of Support required – request by January 1, 2022.

Project period length: 2 years

Max funding amount: $50,000 total 

Grant availability: 2 awards

 

Fellow Grant

This grant mechanism is exclusively available for fellows entering their third year who wish to perform a CARRA-related research project (utilizing the CARRA network, the CARRA Registry, or data and/or samples from other CARRA studies).

Project period length: 1 year

Max funding amount: $25,000 total 

Grant availability: up to 4 awards

 

Small Grant

This opportunity is available to support projects in development. The research project can be a pilot, continuation of ongoing research, or other projects that move forward clinical or translational research that furthers the CARRA mission.

Project period length: 2 years

Max funding amount: $50,000 total 

Grant availability: up to 5 awards
