2017 ANNUAL MEETING: Record attendance!
WOW! What a meeting! CARRA turned 15 this year and celebrated with (cake and) its largest annual meeting to date! 469 CARRA members and guests attended our 13th annual meeting at the Marriott Marquis Houston where over 40 preconference and working group meetings were held over the course of our 3-day meeting. Preconference meetings included a beginner’s ultrasound workshop, programs for Early Investigators, Fellows and Research Coordinators, in addition to an investigator meeting for CARRA Registry investigators and coordinators. After the opening remarks, we enjoyed an outdoor reception by the lazy river pool—thank you to the Arthritis Foundation for sponsoring this wonderful event! A wonderful time was had by all who attended our CARRA dinner Tuesday night. We also celebrated the career of retiring founding member and former President Norm Ilowite, followed by dancing the night away country-western style!
Thank you to our keynote speaker, Eric Peterson from DCRI, and all of our plenary speakers (Nico Wulffraat, Brian Feldman, Emily von Scheven, Suz Schandt from the Arthritis Foundation, and parent Vincent Del Gaizo). Members will be able to view videos of the plenary sessions as well as photos from the meeting on the members-only website. We will let you know when they are available!
Remember to save the date—CARRA 2018 will be held April 12-15, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Denver. We hope to see you all there!
