CARRA Activities at ACR – RECAP
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the CARRA activities held during the 2018 ACR/ARHP Annual Conference. We had a great turnout at the CARRA meeting, CARRA/Arthritis Foundation Co-hosted Reception, and CARRA Fellow/Early Investigator Reception. Additionally, several CARRA-related projects were presented in sessions and as posters. Read on for more information and to see some photos of the action.
Approximately 300 people squeezed into the ballroom for the annual CARRA Meeting at ACR. The agenda included updates about CARRA and CARRA research from Rob Fuhlbrigge and Yuki Kimura, respectively. They were followed by a panel titled “Meeting Patients’ Needs: Two Important Initiatives.” Panelists included Guy Eakin and Suz Schrandt, both of the Arthritis Foundation, Vincent Del Gaizo, of CARRA, and Corrine Pinter, a parent of a JIA patient.
CARRA/Arthritis Foundation Co-hosted Reception
Attendees gathered after the CARRA Meeting to network and visit with colleagues, friends, and parent/patient attendees, over great food and drinks. CARRA and the Arthritis Foundation set up tables and displays with more information about each organization
14 CARRA related projects were presented during the meeting. Of those, 6 were supported by CARRA-Arthritis Foundation grants. For more information about these projects, please visit the CARRA website at: https://carragroup.org/annual-meetings/2018-acrarhp-meeting/carra-related-abstracts-at-acr
CARRA Fellows/Early Investigator Reception
This reception offered a great opportunity for CARRA Fellows and Early Investigators to network and to introduce other ACR attendees to CARRA.
