Arthritis Foundation Names New Regional Vice Presidents

As the Arthritis Foundation evolves, the focus will be on strengthening local markets.  The new regional vice presidents will attend the CARRA annual meeting.  Please try to meet your regional VP and share your thoughts on local engagement and national research agendas. Read the full announcement here. The VPs are:

Region A – Ingrid Montecino – New England and Northeast
Ingrid brings to this role 29 years of significant mission delivery, fundraising, board and volunteer development and staff management experience – with the National Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, the National Hemophilia Foundation, St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children and the Kidney Foundation.  Most recently, as CEO of the Arthritis Foundation’s Northeast Region, she has generated strong results in personal giving, major gifts and significant growth in the Walk to Cure Arthritis.

Region B – Judy Dorn – Southeast, Florida
Judy brings to this role 21 years of significant mission delivery, fundraising, board and volunteer development and staff management experience – with the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association and Special Olympics.  Her strong sense of board relations and staff motivation, as well as a unique history of significantly growing gala revenue, served the Arthritis Foundation well in her recent role as area director of the New England Region.

Region C – Sylvia Richard – Heartland and Upper Midwest
Sylvia brings to this role19 years of significant mission delivery, fundraising, board and volunteer development and staff management experience – with the American Heart Association, JDRF, American Diabetes Association and LAM Foundation.  As market vice president of the Ohio River Valley within the Great Lakes Region, Sylvia established a strong sense of working with volunteers to secure corporate chairs for signature events, cultivate relationships with key community partners and work with the nominating committee to onboard new prospective board members. She is also skilled at managing and cultivating relationships with health care providers in rheumatology and orthopedics.

Region D – Nancy Beidler – Mid Atlantic and Great Lakes
Nancy brings to this role 20 years of significant mission delivery, fundraising, board and volunteer development and staff management experience – with the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association. She built a strong reputation and made a major difference in impacting revenue growth in corporate development, and as area director of the Mid Atlantic and Florida regions, Nancy has driven rapid stability in rebuilding these important markets.

Region E – Amy Daugherty – Pacific and South Central
Amy brings to this role 17 years of significant mission delivery, fundraising, board and volunteer development and staff management experience – with the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. As chief development officer of the Pacific Region, Amy developed significant revenue streams of $2M in Walk and $1.5M in Bike Tour revenue, along with a very successful physician/patient fundraising program. She also has built strong boards and volunteer committees in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Region F – Scott Weaver – Great West (Interim)
Scott will serve as regional vice president for this region on an interim basis while we continue to recruit to fill this position.
