Contribute to the CARRA Research Resource Library: Information for Families about Research Participation
How does your site educate patients and families about research at your site? Do you mention research when you mail letters to your patients? Do you have general research information posted on your clinic or hospital website? Do you have a handout that describes research opportunities available at your site?
CARRA is creating a library of research resources FROM sites, FOR sites. Information will be compiled and posted on the members-only section of the website. CARRA members may access the information and use to create their own site-specific materials. We are currently looking for general information about research participation: scripts that you may use when speaking with patients/families, sentences that you include in patient-related communications, and stand-alone documents or brochures. Please email us at [email protected] with your materials and/or questions.

The Division of Rheumatology at the Hospital for Sick Children will be hosting their inaugural Advances in Childhood Rheumatic Diseases, an International Symposium, which will take place on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto.
This year’s theme is very special as we celebrate the retirement of Dr. Earl Silverman, for whom we will dedicate the day and celebration dinner. This full-day symposium will feature both international and local leading experts who will speak on the diagnosis, treatment and current research endeavors relating to rheumatic diseases. The audience will consist of both national and international rheumatologists (adult and pediatric) as well as pediatricians, nephrologists and internists.
If you would like to receive regular symposium updates, please contact Tanya Lorenc at [email protected].
